Gianluca and his team work very closely with many of the world’s leading gallery and brand owners, artists and specialist dealers to help private clients, family offices, corporates and museums & foundations, to build the very best collections of rare works of art, diamonds & gemstones, jewellery, cars and bikes and to acquire other rare assets like yachts, jets, helicopters, memorabilia, wine, spirits & cigars, precious metals and luxury properties.

We help art lovers and collectors find works they love and build or enhance their existing collections by acquiring museum quality artworks from the world’s leading paintings, sculptures, antiquities and antiques dealers. These dealers often have 40-60 years of experience in one field and come from multi-generational art dealing families and have sold to many of the world’s major museums multiple times and in certain cases, over 100 museums.

We work with many of the major high jewellery brand owners and their global heads and also with the renowned manufacturers of the highest quality fancy color diamonds, white colorless diamonds and precious gemstones, whose job is to supply polished stones to the leading jewellery houses and brands. Their knowledge has been acquired for generations and their understanding of the global market stems from their strong presence in the Far East, Europe and the Americas. These mining distributors have bought many of their best stones from the major mines like the Argyle and Cullinan mines.

Our automotive team works with many specialist dealers in their field dealing in classic cars, hypercars, race cars and F1 cars, as well as hypercar brand owners in Europe that make a very limited number of high performance cars, which very few people get the chance to own.

Our watch team works with many of the leading Swiss and German watch brands and the AHCI independent watchmakers who make less than a few hundred timepieces in total each year. These brands often make unique and bespoke pieces or collections for Palterna’s clients and we have made many wonderful pieces for watch clubs and collectors around the world, especially in the Middle East and the US.

Our jewellery team works with the owners and global heads of many of the most well known high jewellery maisons and around 30 in total.

EDUCATION AND EARLY CAREER

Gianluca studied at Highgate School in North London and graduated from University College London in 2011 after studying Economics and Management with a year spent abroad in Milan. Gianluca worked as a precious metals trader for the UK’s largest and only gold refinery, Baird & Co, and with investment funds in a private wealth management capacity managing key clients and working with many notable GCC families from Qatar and Saudi Arabia, before founding Palterna in 2014.
